In honour of the 20 year anniversary of the Agile Manifesto, each monthly blog this year will focus on one of the twelve principles.
"At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly."
In the early days of Agile, this principle was a direct correlation to the Retrospective ceremony which makes sense.
What a lot of teams are now experiencing is that reflecting and adjusting once a sprint just isn't enough. We're seeing a shift from continuous improvement to relentless improvement. Some teams don't wait for the Retrospective to improve. When they experience an issue, they hold an impromptu 'Retro' and figure out what to do.
